Sponsored (Virtual) Rideathon

We are holding a sponsored Rideathon from 12th November to 30th November aiming to raise £1000 towards winter costs and days when lessons are cancelled due to the weather. We keep the cost of sessions low to make it accessible to all so income from lessons only covers half of our costs.

We hit our target of £1000 !!!   (Sunday 3rd Dec 9.09 pm)

Thanks to all who donated and all who took part.

Christmas fundraising evening

On 21st December we held a Christmas fundraiser evening at The Parrot Inn Shalford, thanks to Sam Ewart who gave us discounted costs and put on a wonderful buffet.

Tickets were £6 including the buffet and a glass of fizz

DSC01459

We held an auction of donated goodies ranging from Pamper Hampers, Chocolate Lovers Feast to 2 x children’s tickets to Birdworld and cooking pots as well as ‘Sparkle’ Christmas cakes!

Dave Oakden was a superb auctioneer.

Special thanks to CJ’s Mum, Michelle, who made and donated most of the hampers but thanks to all who donated items, Zach’s Mum made beautiful Snowflake decorations which were very popular.

It would have been nice to have a few more people but we raised an amazing £400 and we would like to make it an annual event.

Christmas Party 2016

‘Ho Ho,’ (Father Christmas) arrived on a trailer pulled by a mini tractor to start our Christmas party on 17th December.

The children enjoyed telling him what they wanted for Christmas and sparkle assisted

Everyone enjoyed the home made sausage rolls, mince pies and mulled wine and this year we had a tombola as well as our calendars on sale.

Open Day 4th September 2016

We had great fun at our Open Day with 4 new families coming to meet the ponies as well as old friends.

A fact finding quiz helped everyone learn about the ponies and Blackberries and Acorns were discovered on the nature trail.

Basil was transformed into a ‘somewhat reluctant’ Unicorn and the homemade cakes were appreciated.

Meeting C J

We found out the Mayor was himself a keen horseman who had ridden most of his life!

DSC01073

So he was very at home and knowledgeable with the horses as well as putting the children at ease!
